PASCOAG RACECOURSE

The Rhode Island racetrack of Pascoag Park first opened for racing in 1941 and was the brainchild of B A Dario. His nickname was Lucky and he made his money selling Buicks, but he had a passion for breeding thoroughbred horses.

In the early 1940s he bought a small Rhode Island track at Pascoag Park, but later built the much grander, more ambitious Lincoln Downs Race track, also in Rhode Island, which opened for business on 7th July 1947.
